The fact that it includes both flat mounting brackets and brackets that allow you to tilt the TV is an added bonus. If you want the TV flat on the wall, use the non-tilt brackets. As others described, it's extremely strong, easy to install and it comes with every bolt, screw, washer and spacer you could possibly need. In the end I went with this system because of the positive reviews and the fact that it would support TV's larger than 55".I'm extremely satisfied with this mount. This was the first wall mount I've done, so I didn't really know what to expect when I ordered this mounting bracket. I have no concerns about this coming off the wall until I want to take it off. Then if you want to be able to tilt the TV down (if you are mounting it high on the wall), you use the tilt brackets. Be sure to use a level at this point - there is no way to tip the TV left or right after the flat bracket is mounted to the wall, so make sure the wall bracket is level.
I chose the flat mount since I wanted the TV as close to the wall as possible. There is a wall plate that comes in three pieces (so it'll pack into a small box). I'd read the reviews of several different units though, and the Sanus VMPL3-B seemed to come out on top in terms of user feedback. Either way the brackets are bolted directly to the back of the TV through the VESA mounting screw holes. It's basically a two part system. You assemble those into a single wide unit (the three parts overlap), then screw that into two or three studs in the wall. The tilt brackets are a little deeper and result in the TV mounting a bit further from the wall.It took two of us to lift my 160 pound Panasonic TV up to the wall plate, but it was quite easy to hook the brackets on the back of the TV to the wall plate, and once the locking levers were pushed down it made for a very strong, very secure mount. I highly recommend the Sanus VMPL3-B.
It contained all of the hardware necessary (screws and lag bolts for the mount), and it is a very high quality.well built. Bought this for a 63" Samsung plasma, and it worked great. It came with extention pieces if the holes in the back of the TV are spaced too far apart, but right out of the box, the bracket fit the Samsung perfect. At about 110#'s that TV is going nowhere. Congrats to Sanus on making a fine mount.
This makes it so sturdy that you could probably put your couch on it. The power cord and any other wires (HDMI, Coax, etc). What I really love about the mount is that it can be mounted to 3 studs. I am using this mount to hang a 55" LG flat panel TV, weighing about 85 lbs. level on it while you mount it. Perfect for designing a "wire free" wall mounted TV.
- because that is where I have my 110v electric outlet and a cable pass-through mounted.
The span of the mount is great, and should easily fit most 42" and larger sets.
The instructions are good and it is actually very easy to just sit on the floor with it for a few minutes and have it all figured out.
Well below the rated capacity for the mount.
can be fed right through the mount, assuming you have planned it that way.It was very easy to position and install the mount.
Another thing I liked about the Sanus was the large square holes in the mounting plate.
why.
Also easy to keep a 4 ft.
Extremely glad I bought this mount for my home theatre.
I got this for my Pioneer Elite 60". Works perfectly, and was easy to install.
Ok, after reading reviews on how this mount would not work with some panasonic sets (as well as some others), i was not sure if i needed to by the extended adapter. Just to avoid the installers leaving should this not work i bought the adapter.results: you DONT need the adapter/extender for this TV. everything you need is in the box.my TV details:65" Plasma Panasonic TC-P65S1
